U Minh Thuong National Park cares for rare white peacock and pheasant

U Minh Thuong National Park has been providing care for a rare white peacock and a white pheasant. Both animals are currently being kept in separate, clean, and well-ventilated enclosures.

The white pheasant weighs approximately 1.8kg and features white feathers with black stripes and red legs. The white peacock weighs about 2.8kg and possesses pure white plumage. Staff members report that both animals are healthy and active. The peacock is primarily fed rice and sprouted rice, while the pheasant consumes rice and insects.

Park staff continue to monitor the animals' survival habits and ability to forage independently. In addition to its unique peat swamp forest ecosystem and ecotourism, the national park serves as a sanctuary for various rare wildlife, including turtles, pythons, and monkeys.
