U-NEXT launches 95% discount for first-time e-book purchases

U-NEXT has launched a new promotion offering up to 95% off for users making their first electronic book purchase. The discount applies to nearly all book titles on the platform, including manga, light novels, and general books.

The discount is automatically applied at the purchase confirmation screen for first-time paid users, with a maximum discount cap of 750 yen. This offer is available for both single-item purchases and bulk purchases of the same work. Users who have previously only accessed free content are eligible, though those with a prior history of paid e-book purchases are excluded.

Additionally, U-NEXT continues to operate a point-back program for monthly plan subscribers, offering up to 40% point returns on certain payment methods. The company, which integrates video and e-book services, reports a library of over 1.33 million titles as of July 2026.
