U. S. Polo Assn. appoints David Swetman as global design lead

U. S. Polo Assn., the official sports brand of the United States Polo Association, has appointed David Swetman as the global design lead for men’s and boys’ apparel. Swetman joins the company from Abercrombie & Fitch, where he most recently served as senior concept designer of global menswear and contributed to the brand’s period of reinvention and growth.

In his new role, Swetman will oversee global design vision, product direction, trend forecasting, and category innovation for the men’s and boys’ segments. He will work with the brand’s international network of licensees to establish a cohesive design direction while supporting regional market needs.

This strategic hire is part of USPA Global’s efforts to strengthen its leadership team as the brand pursues a goal of $4 billion in global retail sales. J. Michael Prince, president and CEO of USPA Global, stated that Swetman’s experience in building successful global collections makes him an outstanding addition to the team during their brand elevation plan.
