The inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival is currently underway in Baku, Azerbaijan, featuring 189 teams competing in an 8v8 format. The tournament is divided into various tiers, with top performers advancing to Tier A to compete for the championship.

In Tier A, Greece has achieved a historic run, reaching the semi-finals after a comeback victory against Guinea. Following a 6-2 loss to Spain in the semi-finals, the Greek squad will compete for third place against Paraguay. Spain and the Czech Republic are set to face each other in the Tier A final.

Other notable performances include Ghana’s U15 team, which secured a spot in the Round of 32 after a perfect group stage, scoring 27 goals. Ivory Coast has also shown strength, winning their opening matches to set up clashes with other top contenders.

In Tier C, Indonesia’s U15 team experienced a mixed run, including a penalty shootout victory over Moldova and a win against Panama, before falling 6-1 to Luxembourg in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, India secured a 3-2 comeback win against Trinidad and Tobago to advance to the quarter-finals.
