U18 Asian Baseball Championship to host finals at Taipei Dome

The 14th U18 Asian Baseball Championship is scheduled to take place in Taiwan from September 7 to September 13. Eight Asian representative teams will compete for the championship, with the top three finishers earning qualification for the 2027 U18 Baseball World Cup.

A major highlight of this tournament is that the final stage will be held at the Taipei Dome, marking the first time an international youth-level baseball tournament has utilized the venue. To support the young athletes, the Taipei Dome will feature a special light-up event from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily, displaying player numbers on the stadium's exterior walls.

The Chinese Taipei team, led by head coach Yang Hsiao-cheng, enters the competition as the defending champions after defeating Japan in 2024. The team aims to achieve its first consecutive title and its fourth overall U18 Asian championship. The preliminary round will feature groups including Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka, while Chinese Taipei competes in a group alongside South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore.
