U2 releases cover for Shane MacGowan tribute album

U2 has released a cover of “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,” originally released by The Pogues in 1988. The track is part of a tribute album titled “20th Century Paddy – The Songs of Shane MacGowan,” scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.

The album honors the late Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan and features contributions from various artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Primal Scream, Hozier, and The Libertines.

In support of MacGowan’s lifelong commitment to helping the homeless, at least 50% of the artists' royalties from the project will be donated to the Dublin Simon Community in Ireland.
