UAA Women's Golf Championships begin at Elks Run Golf Club

The University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golf Championships commenced at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, featuring a match play tournament format. Under the scoring system, teams consist of six golfers, with individual matches awarding three points for a win and one for a tie.

Emory University opened the competition with strong performances, securing victories against both Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) and New York University (NYU). In the matchup against WashU, Emory earned multiple points through wins by Amanda Zheng, Zimo Li, Julia Paek, and Esther Jung, while Carys Code secured a tie.

New York University's opening rounds included a matchup against Carnegie Mellon, where Inha Jun, Elisa Xue, and Jiarui Li secured wins, though Carnegie Mellon ultimately took two matches to limit NYU to 10 points. In their afternoon round against Emory, NYU earned two points through ties by Jun and Xue, leaving the team in third place with 12 total points heading into their next match against WashU.
