UABC and UABCS welcome over 8,000 new students in August 2026

On August 5, 2026, 4,853 incoming students began their university studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in Tijuana. The ceremony was led by rector Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre, who emphasized the significance of the university experience for the students' professional and personal development.

From August 3 to 7, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) completed registration for more than 3,500 newly admitted students, a record number for the institution. Director of Services David Flores highlighted the historic enrollment level. UABCS also hosted a University Services Fair to provide information on programs, facilities, and support services before classes start the following week.
