UABC Faculty of Arts hosts ‘Cartografías sensibles’ exhibition

The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) has launched the exhibition ‘Cartografías sensibles’ at its Tijuana campus Faculty of Arts. The showcase features the work of 31 artist-professors from various generations and career paths.

The collection utilizes diverse visual languages to explore experiences and perceptions related to the border territory. Key themes addressed in the works include identity, memory, landscape, and everyday life, offering different interpretations of the inhabited space.

UABC Rector Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre noted that the exhibition highlights how the creative practices of faculty members enrich academic work and student training. The university aims to use the exhibition as a meeting point for students, alumni, artists, and the general public.
