UACJ graduates 75 new medical surgeons

Seventy-five graduates of the Medical Surgeon program from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) held their formal swearing-in ceremony on August 18.

The ceremony marked the completion of over seven years of academic and practical training, including hospital internships and social service in both urban and rural areas of Chihuahua. During the event, the graduates recited the Hippocratic Oath and the Declaration of Geneva.

UACJ Rector Daniel Alberto Constandse Cortez administered the oath and presented 54 academic merit awards to students with high GPAs and outstanding performance on the EGEL-CENEVAL exam. Daniel Isaac Alcaraz Ortega, who achieved the highest average in the class, delivered a message on behalf of the 92nd generation, emphasizing the importance of clinical judgment and empathy in patient care.
