UACJ hosts book presentation on Gestalt therapy and violence recovery

The book ‘Yo fui un hombre violento, tres historias de vida luego de un proceso de terapia Gestalt’ was presented at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). Authored by Gabi Yahaira Cleto and Dr. Hugo Almada Mireles, the work explores the lives of three men seven years after undergoing Gestalt therapy to address violent behaviors.

The publication, which originated from a master's thesis, examines how the individuals reconstructed their lives and interpreted their past experiences after recognizing the harm they caused. The project aims to provide psychology professionals with reflections on contributing to communities with reduced violence, particularly in border regions facing gender-based violence.
