UACJ inaugurates new J2 building at Engineering Institute

The Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) has inaugurated the J2 building at its Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIT). The project represents a significant investment in academic infrastructure to support research and student development.

Located on Avenida Henry Dunant, the new facility includes three specialized laboratories focused on Metrology CMM, Semiconductors, and Electromobility. Additionally, the building features two training classrooms, six advisory cubicles, a conference room, and an elevator.

The construction was funded through the university's own resources, totaling 36,042,071.24 pesos. The facility covers a construction area of 1,134.49 square meters, complemented by 503.248 square meters of exterior space. Rector Daniel Alberto Constandse Cortez noted that these spaces are designed to strengthen academic activities, technological research, and community engagement.
