UAdeC Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences celebrates 39th anniversary

The Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAdeC) celebrated its 39th anniversary in Saltillo. Established in 1987, the school was created to offer a degree in Applied Mathematics, which was the first and only program of its kind at the university.

The ceremony took place at the Jesús Ochoa Ruesga Auditorium and was attended by university rector Octavio Pimentel Martínez, Southeast Unit coordinator Eva Kerena Hernández Martínez, and Faculty director Carlos Eduardo Rodríguez García, along with faculty and students. During his address, Rector Pimentel Martínez recognized the faculty as a success story that has evolved to meet modern scientific challenges, noting the increasing relevance of exact sciences, physics, and data science in the era of artificial intelligence.
