UAE and India strengthen strategic and defence cooperation

The United Arab Emirates and India are deepening their strategic, economic, and defence ties through high-level diplomatic engagement and industrial forums. In Abu Dhabi, the UAE–India Defence Industry Forum was launched to facilitate cooperation between companies in both nations. Organized by the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement in collaboration with the Embassy of India and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, the forum focuses on manufacturing, research and development, advanced technologies, and supply chains.

Complementing these industrial efforts, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions to bolster their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Their dialogue addressed economic interests, cross-border investments, and regional stability. The leaders also exchanged views on mitigating regional tensions and managing shared security concerns across South Asia and the Middle East.
