UAE banks receive major international financial recognition

Emirates Islamic has received multiple honors at the Euromoney Islamic Finance Awards 2026, including titles for ‘Middle East’s Best Islamic Bank’ and ‘UAE’s Best Islamic Bank’. The institution was also recognized for the ‘World’s Best Sukuk Deal’ following its USD 500 million Sustainability-Linked Financing Sukuk, which is noted as the first of its kind globally.

Separately, United Arab Bank (UAB) has been ranked 10th globally within its peer group in the inaugural Forbes’ World’s Top Performing Banks 2026 list. Developed in partnership with Statista, the ranking evaluates banks with total assets between USD 3 billion and USD 10 billion based on profitability, growth, capital resilience, and asset quality.
