UAE braces for extreme heat and humidity during Eid Al Adha week

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts a surge in temperatures across the United Arab Emirates during the Eid Al Adha holiday week. Inland areas such as Liwa and Al Ain are expected to reach highs of 44‑45 °C, while coastal cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will see temperatures around 41 °C; Fujairah may stay slightly cooler at about 36 °C. Humidity will rise, especially overnight and in early mornings along the coast, increasing the likelihood of mist or fog formation.

Winds are projected to be light to moderate, blowing from southeasterly to northwesterly at 10‑25 km/h, with occasional gusts up to 35 km/h that could stir dust in exposed areas. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight. The NCM advises residents to limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and to stay updated on forecasts while planning outdoor activities during the holiday.

These conditions represent one of the hottest stretches of the year in the UAE, preceding the official start of the summer season in late June.
