UAE charities launch new education support campaigns

Charitable organizations in the United Arab Emirates have launched new initiatives to support education in disadvantaged regions.

The Dubai Charity Association introduced its 2026 “Alif Baa” campaign, which aims to assist students in the UAE and 15 other countries. The program provides a comprehensive support system, including school uniforms, bags, laptops, and tuition fees for low-income families and orphans. Additionally, the campaign focuses on developing and furnishing educational facilities such as schools and Quran memorization centers in communities where formal institutions are limited.

Separately, Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched an education campaign specifically for the Gaza Strip. In coordination with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, SCI has dispatched over 60 tonnes of school and office supplies from Sharjah International Airport to Al Arish, Egypt, for subsequent delivery to Gaza. This initiative is part of broader UAE humanitarian efforts to help Palestinian students maintain access to learning despite ongoing humanitarian challenges.
