UAE economic delegation to visit Lebanon to explore investment opportunities
A high-level United Arab Emirates economic delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, is scheduled to visit Beirut this Wednesday and Thursday. The delegation includes 67 prominent economic leaders and business figures, with 55 Emirati companies represented in meetings alongside more than 150 Lebanese companies.
Lebanese officials aim to present concrete investment opportunities in several key sectors, including electricity, water, airports, and ports. The visit will include participation from various Lebanese government ministers and agencies, such as the Council for Development and Reconstruction and IDAL.
According to Mohammad Chaker, President of Economic Bodies, this visit marks a shift from requests for aid to a language of partnership and investment. The mission follows recent diplomatic steps to reactivate relations between the two nations and occurs amid a broader trend of renewed Gulf interest in Lebanon.
