UAE e‑invoicing mandate spurs Azentio ERP launch as EU standards guide developers

The United Arab Emirates will require structured e‑invoicing from January 2027. Azentio Software has introduced an ERP‑integrated e‑invoicing solution that already holds Accredited Service Provider status, allowing businesses to meet the upcoming Federal Tax Authority requirements with a pre‑approved provider.

Across Europe, governments are rolling out similar mandates. Germany, Austria and the EU are moving toward the EN 16931 standard, with formats such as XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, ebInterface and the Peppol network becoming compulsory for B2B invoices between 2025 and 2028. Developers are advised to design software that can parse multiple XML syntaxes (UBL, CII) and normalise invoice data to a common model.

Both regions aim to replace PDF invoices with machine‑readable data, reducing errors and fraud while increasing compliance costs for enterprises and software vendors.
