Abu Dhabi to Host 2026 FEI Endurance and Jiu‑Jitsu World Championships
The International Equestrian Federation has approved the United Arab Emirates’ bid to host the FEI Endurance World Championship 2026 at the Butheeb International Endurance Village in Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi, from 14 to 20 December, with the main race on 19 December. Major‑General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, president of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, highlighted the support of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and praised the venue’s infrastructure. Sheikh Mansour’s backing was cited as instrumental in securing the event.
Abu Dhabi will also stage the 2026 Jiu‑Jitsu World Championship and the World Cup U14 at Mubadala Arena from 1 to 9 August. The UAE team, sponsored by Mubadala Investment Company, will field 114 athletes across five age categories, seeking a seventh consecutive world title after winning six in a row, including ten medals at the 2025 championship in Bangkok.
