UAE expands AI and trade partnerships with UK and Greece

UAE foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband in London, congratulating him on his appointment and discussing ways to deepen cooperation across sectors, including regional security and economic development.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, reaffirming the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and focusing on artificial intelligence, technology, renewable energy and broader economic ties. The discussion referenced recent agreements signed by UAE Minister Dr Sultan Al Jaber and Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, and highlighted Greece’s support for the UAE’s pending Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the EU.
