UAE eyes BrahMos missile purchase; U.S. B-2 tests LRASM in Pacific

The United Arab Emirates is planning to acquire the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile through India, aiming to bolster its capability against potential future conflicts with Iran. The deal requires Russian approval, as the BrahMos is a joint Russian‑Indian development, and the UAE cannot buy Russian weapons directly for political reasons.

Separately, the U.S. Air Force successfully demonstrated the launch of the long‑range anti‑ship missile AGM‑158C LRASM from a B‑2 Spirit bomber during a live‑fire exercise in the western Pacific. The test, part of the Valiant Shield 2026 drill, targeted the decommissioned amphibious ship USS Juneau and showcased the B‑2’s new capability to strike high‑value naval targets.
