UAE Federal Tax Authority and Dubai Police seize over 3.5 million excise goods packages
Joint inspection campaigns by the United Arab Emirates Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and Dubai Police during the first half of 2026 seized 3,587,315 non‑compliant excise‑goods packages and generated 59 seizure reports against businesses and individuals.
The confiscated goods represent tax liabilities and penalties totaling AED 82,064,198. A follow‑up meeting at the FTA’s Dubai headquarters was attended by FTA Director‑General Abdulaziz Al Mulla (Al Bustani), Executive Director Sarah Al Habshi, and Colonel Dr Saud Mohammed Al Khalidi of the Dubai Police. Officials said the strategic partnership, modern technology and the public Raqeeb reporting platform are strengthening compliance and protecting consumers.
