UAE firms secure regulatory licences for virtual asset services
Financial firms are expanding their regulated cryptocurrency offerings in the United Arab Emirates. Capital. com announced plans to provide virtual asset investment services to its UAE clients following a licence granted to its affiliate, Capital Vault Virtual Services L. L. C, by the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
As one of the first firms licensed under the CMA’s virtual asset framework, Capital Vault UAE is authorized to act as an agent or matching principal and to provide custody for virtual assets. The company operates from Abu Dhabi and will provide the execution, custody, and settlement infrastructure for Capital. com clients.
Separately, Dubai-based Arbeat Group FZE has secured a Full Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) License from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). This license permits Arbeat to conduct both Virtual Asset Exchange Services and Virtual Asset Broker-Dealer Services within the Dubai regulatory framework.
