UAE Gender Balance Council presents inaugural SDG 5 Pledge Awards

The UAE Gender Balance Council held a ceremony in Dubai to honor the winners of the inaugural SDG 5 Pledge Awards. Launched by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the awards recognize organizations that have implemented effective policies and initiatives to promote gender balance.

The award recipients include:

• Standard Chartered UAE: Champions of Gender Balance in Policies Award • Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC): Pioneer of Women’s Leadership Representation Award • Schneider Electric: Exemplary Initiative Advancing Gender Balance Award • Deloitte Middle East: Family-Focused Employer of the Year Award

During the event, Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed stated that gender balance is a national priority and a pillar of the UAE’s development, reflecting a leadership vision focused on investing in people and enabling all citizens to contribute to the nation’s progress.
