UAE-India travel demand rises ahead of Diwali festivities
Travel demand between the United Arab Emirates and India is rising ahead of the Dussehra and Diwali festive seasons. Airfares from Dubai and Sharjah to major Indian cities, such as Bengaluru and Kochi, are currently available for under Dh1,500, though prices for tier-two cities like Varanasi remain higher due to limited flight frequencies.
Air India reported healthy booking trends for the upcoming winter period, with Air India and Air India Express scheduled to operate 272 weekly flights between India and the UAE.
Simultaneously, Abu Dhabi is positioning itself as a premier destination for multi-generational family getaways during the Diwali period. The UAE capital is offering curated holiday packages that combine cultural sites, such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi, with entertainment options on Yas Island and desert safaris.
