UAE International Investment Council Appoints New Leadership Team

The UAE International Investment Council completed its senior leadership appointments at its second board meeting on 28 July. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, chaired the meeting and was confirmed as council chair. New officers include MA Yusuff Ali, chairman of the Lulu Group, appointed Vice Chairman; Abdullah Al Suwaidi named Secretary General; and Humayd Al Shimri designated Deputy Group CEO and Vice Chairman. The council, created in 2009, aims to link UAE investors with opportunities arising from the country’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements, accelerate investment projects and strengthen economic diversification through public‑private partnerships.
