UAE launches national award and family-friendly label applications

The United Arab Emirates has opened applications for the UAE Year of Award, a national recognition programme overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Applicants can submit entries in five categories—including Main Award, Collective Contribution and Private Sector Champion—through the official portal until 10 September 2026. Winners will be announced at the UAE Government Annual Meetings.

Separately, the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority has extended the deadline for the fourth cycle of the Parent‑friendly Label to 14 August 2026. The programme, now piloted with government entities in cooperation with the Ministry of Family, recognises organisations that adopt policies supporting working parents. It aims to strengthen family wellbeing as part of the UAE’s Year of the Family.
