UAE leaders reaffirm commitment to youth empowerment

UAE leaders Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum marked International Youth Day on August 12 by reaffirming their commitment to youth empowerment as a national priority. Both leaders emphasized that young Emiratis are the nation’s most valuable asset and a primary driving force for scientific, economic, and technological progress.

In conjunction with these pledges, the telecommunications provider du launched Emirati Entrepreneur Month through its Youth Council. The initiative aims to highlight young Emirati founders, specifically showcasing businesses such as HOOP, House of Favola, and Telo. The campaign aligns with the ‘Dubai-it’ philosophy, which focuses on achieving excellence and innovation at high speeds.

Additionally, du’s Youth Council collaborated with Maharat to host an AI workshop designed to upskill young Emiratis in emerging digital technologies. These efforts complement existing federal programs, such as the Arab Youth Center, which facilitates various initiatives to connect young people with professional and academic opportunities.
