UAE markets show strength as Dubai gains Dh4.4 billion and Abu Dhabi property investment surges

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) outperformed other Arab markets this week, recording weekly profits of nearly Dh4.4 billion and a 0.39% increase over five sessions. Market capitalization rose to Dh994.4 billion. Notable performers included Aman shares, which jumped 21.5%, and Al Ramz, which rose 17.45%. Emaar Properties led market liquidity with approximately Dh885.4 million.

In Abu Dhabi, the residential property market reported record-breaking activity in the first half of the year. Direct foreign investment surged 309% year-on-year to Dh13.8 billion, surpassing the total recorded for all of 2025. Experts suggest this growth is driven by long-term structural fundamentals, including population growth, infrastructure development, and economic diversification, rather than short-term market cycles.

While the DFM saw gains, the FTSE Abu Dhabi General Index (FADGI) closed down 0.66% for the week. In the Abu Dhabi market, ADNOC Gas led trading activity with Dh733.97 million in liquidity.
