UAE Ministry of Finance Introduces Aani Payments and Jaywan Card for Federal Fees

The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Finance has become the first federal entity to adopt the national instant‑payment platform Aani and the domestic card scheme Jaywan for the collection of service fees and fines. The move follows Cabinet Resolution No. (176M/4M) of 2026 and is presented as a milestone in the government's digital‑payments transformation, aiming to provide faster, more flexible and convenient payment options for residents and to strengthen the resilience of the national financial ecosystem. Undersecretary Younis Haji Al Khoori said the adoption reflects the UAE leadership’s vision of a secure and sustainable digital economy.

Separately, Jaywan cards issued to UAE residents now offer a range of travel, shopping and lifestyle benefits. Cardholders in the Prestige and Royal tiers receive up to 10% discounts on selected airline fares, 7% off eligible hotel bookings, access to more than 1,800 airport lounges via Priority Pass, and various dining, entertainment and retail offers through the Jaywan Entertainer app. The scheme is delivered through the national payment infrastructure and participating merchants, though benefits vary by card tier and are subject to terms and conditions.
