UAE names squad for Women's Asia Cup 2026 with Esha Oza as captain

The United Arab Emirates has announced its 15-player squad for the Women's Asia Cup 2026, with Esha Oza appointed as captain. The tournament, which begins on August 28, 2026, will be hosted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, marking the first time the UAE will host this continental event.

Captain Esha Oza, who has led the side in 54 WT20I matches with a 68.51% win rate, expressed a goal of reaching at least the semi-finals. She noted the team's ambition to defeat at least one Test-playing nation during the group stage and highlighted the advantage of playing in front of a home crowd.
