UAE real estate markets lead in branded residences and transparency

Dubai remains the world’s largest market for branded residences, hosting 175 projects. According to Knight Frank’s The Residence Report 2026/27, Dubai’s scale is more than double that of Miami and nearly six times larger than London.

The United Arab Emirates is seeing growth extend beyond Dubai, with Abu Dhabi ranking eighth globally and Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah ranking ninth in branded residence schemes. The UAE now accounts for 19 percent of the global branded residence development pipeline, while the Middle East as a whole represents 25 percent of the global pipeline.

Separately, Abu Dhabi has been named the world’s leading improver in JLL’s 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index. The emirate rose eight places from 41st in 2024 to 33rd globally. This improvement is attributed to the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) and its digital transformation initiatives, including publicly accessible dashboards and interactive maps. ADREC aims to place Abu Dhabi among the world’s 25 most transparent real estate markets by 2030.
