UAE reports growth in Emirati female workforce and university enrollment

The United Arab Emirates is reporting significant growth in its human capital and educational sectors. In Dubai, the Government Human Resources Department announced that 12,571 Emirati women are currently employed across government entities. This figure represents 54.7% of all Emirati citizens working for the Dubai Government, with 2,289 women holding leadership or supervisory roles. These women are active in vital sectors including healthcare, energy, transport, security, and the economy.

Simultaneously, the UAE's higher education sector has reached a total enrollment of 218,241 students. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, noted that 64,859 new students enrolled during the past academic year, marking the highest registration rate in five years. The nation's higher education ecosystem currently consists of 103 institutions offering approximately 2,500 academic programs, supported by over 10,000 faculty members.
