Tour de France 2026 team roster unveiled and related media specials
British INEOS Grenadiers announced its squad for the 2026 Tour de France, which starts in Barcelona. The eight‑rider line‑up includes former champion Egan Bernal, world‑time‑trial champion Filippo Ganna, and rising talents Kevin Vauquelin, Josh Tarling and Thymen Arensman. Team director Geraint Thomas said the squad will “attack aggressively” and highlighted the opening team time trial in Barcelona as a chance to set the race’s tone. Notably, Colombian rider Carlos Rodríguez was left out of the roster.
Former Tour winner Miguel Indurain offered his view on the upcoming race, noting that while Jonas Vingegaard is a favourite, young rider Paul Seixas “has the legs to fight for the Tour” and enjoys strong French support. Indurain also praised fellow Spaniard Juan Ayuso’s potential despite a challenging year.
The event’s media coverage includes a new interactive MARCA Plus special produced with Alpecin, detailing stage previews, favourite riders and the brand’s involvement in cycling. Additionally, Spanish apparel brand Gobik announced a multi‑year partnership with Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz to co‑design cycling and lifestyle collections, set to launch in August 2026.
