UAE Team rolls out women's Tour de France debut as men's squad wins 2026

The newly named UAE Team L'IMAD will make its debut at the 2026 Tour de France Femmes, scheduled from 1 to 9 August. The seven‑rider roster – Dominika Wlodarczyk, Elisa Longo Borghini, Silvia Persico, Mavi Garcia, Maeva Squiban, Paula Blasi and Brodie Chapman – will wear a special falcon‑inspired jersey. A pre‑race press conference was held on 30 July in Vevey, Switzerland, with a live stream on the team’s YouTube channel.

In the men’s event, UAE Team Emirates secured the overall win at the 2026 Tour de France, with world champion Tadej Pogačar taking first place and the team claiming six stage victories. Chef Michele Romano, the team’s official nutritionist since 2017, was credited for providing scientifically tailored diets that supported the riders throughout the three‑week race.

Both the women’s debut and the men’s triumph highlight the expanding influence of the UAE‑backed squads in elite cycling.
