UAE to host 2026 Women's T20 Asia Cup in August‑September
The Asian Cricket Council has indicated that the sixth edition of the Women's T20 Asia Cup will be staged in the United Arab Emirates from August 28 to September 13, 2026. Eight teams – India, defending champions Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and hosts UAE – are expected to take part. The ACC has shared provisional dates and venue plans with the participating boards, but a formal public announcement and final venue approval are still pending.
The absence of an official schedule has created confusion, highlighted when the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced and then withdrew India's squad. The tournament’s timing also leaves only four days for the finalists to travel to Nagoya, Japan, for the women's cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games (September 17‑24), raising logistical and player‑management challenges for the teams.
