UAE economic delegation visits Lebanon to boost trade and investment

A high-level UAE economic delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, visited Lebanon to strengthen bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation. During the visit, Al Zeyoudi met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri to discuss translating previous diplomatic visits into tangible commercial opportunities and supporting Lebanon’s economic stability.

Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Al-Bassat noted that the visit serves as a message of confidence to the private sector, signaling that Lebanon remains a priority for international partners despite ongoing regional conflicts and economic crises. The delegation also participated in a Lebanese-Emirati forum aimed at signing strategic memorandums of understanding and enhancing knowledge transfer.

Bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Lebanon reached US$4.2 billion, representing a 35.6% increase compared to the previous year. Both nations emphasized the role of the private sector in driving growth and expressed a shared commitment to deepening economic ties across priority sectors.
