UAE weather transitions to cooler autumn temperatures
The United Arab Emirates is entering a period of cooling temperatures as the transition from summer to autumn begins. According to the meteorological calendar, the shift starts in early September, bringing a gradual reduction in heat.
Forecasts indicate that daytime highs in September will likely stay below 39°C, with overnight lows dropping below 27°C. This downward trend is expected to continue through the season, with October highs projected below 35°C and November highs remaining beneath 30°C.
Currently, temperatures are in the low-40s, with Dubai reaching 43°C and Abu Dhabi 41°C. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has noted rising humidity levels, reaching up to 90% overnight in coastal and inland areas. There is also a possibility of fog or mist formation in coastal and internal regions, which may impact visibility.
