UAEM sees record 12,843 applicants for 2025 intake, attracting national and international candidates
The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM) recorded a historic level of interest in its latest admissions process, with 12,843 candidates taking the entrance exam — 93.58% of the 13,724 applications filed. Women accounted for 57.53% of the participants (7,896) and men 42.47% (5,828).
Applicants came primarily from Morelos (73%), but the university also drew students from neighboring states Guerrero (13%), State of Mexico (5%) and Mexico City (4%). Young people from twenty other Mexican states, as well as candidates from the United States, Canada, Europe, Central and South America, and Asia, also took the test. Health‑related programs were the most sought‑after, with Medicine, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Nursing and the newly offered Veterinary Medicine ranking highest in demand. Results are to be published on 28 June.
