UAEMéx and FAAPAUAEM strengthen ties following union leadership update

The Federation of Autonomous Associations of Academic Personnel of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (FAAPAUAEM) has entered a new stage of union representation following the formal registration of its modified board of directors.

During the official ceremony, Plácido Morales Vázquez, the Attorney General of the Federal Labor Defense Attorney's Office (PROFEDET), and Martha Patricia Zarza Delgado, Rector of UAEMéx, emphasized the importance of dialogue and collaboration between the university and its academic staff. Morales Vázquez highlighted that university autonomy is a vital component for maintaining academic quality and addressing national challenges.

The registration, issued by the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration, formalizes the new leadership term, which will run from July 15, 2026, to July 14, 2030. Rector Zarza Delgado noted that the union is a key partner in the institution's development and the ongoing transformation of the university.
