Mexican universities UAT and UAEMéx announce institutional updates

The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) has announced several institutional developments. Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado launched a teaching transformation project through the ‘Trilogía Magistral’ academic program, aimed at training over 2,000 faculty members in learning evaluation and socioformation. Additionally, UAT reported a 12% increase in enrollment, reaching over 45,000 students, and presented a financial report highlighting rigorous spending on research and teaching.

In a technological collaboration, UAT and the Tamaulipas Ministry of Health introduced ‘Intelligent Medical Cabinets.’ This initiative uses artificial intelligence and biometric sensors to improve preventive healthcare, patient triage, and vital sign monitoring within the state's public health network.

Meanwhile, the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx) is focusing on labor relations. Rector Martha Patricia Zarza Delgado and the SUTESUAEM union are preparing a transparent review of the Collective Labor Agreement. Recent actions include allocating approximately 31 million pesos to improve the income of 901 administrative workers through various benefits and premiums.
