UAEMéx receives Equality and Labor Wellbeing Distinction 2026
Twenty-one spaces within the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMéx) have been awarded the 'Distintivo por la Igualdad y Bienestar Laboral 2026'. This recognition is granted by the Government of the State of Mexico to workplaces that implement best practices to ensure safe, inclusive working conditions free from violence and discrimination.
The distinction, delivered through the state secretariats of Women, Economic Development, and Labor, focuses on the integral development of workers, specifically targeting women and vulnerable groups. Miriam Liliana Padilla Mora, the University Secretary of Management and Administration, noted that the award reflects institutional efforts to build person-centered work environments as part of the 'University Transformation' initiative led by Rector Paty Zarza.
During the ceremony, Laura Teresa González Hernández, representing Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, stated that 147 public and private workplaces in the entity were recognized in this edition.
