UAEMéx announces inclusive art initiatives and theatrical season

The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx) has launched several cultural initiatives focused on inclusion and performing arts. In collaboration with the State of Mexico Government, the university hosted an exhibition by the Happy Down collective and the “Proyectándonos, arte incluyente” group. These activities, featuring watercolor and oil paintings, aim to promote respect and visibility for people with disabilities.

Additionally, the University Theater Company (CUT) has announced its sixth and final theatrical season of 2026. The program, running through November and December, features five distinct productions including traditional “pastorelas,” physical theater, and family-oriented plays. Notable works include “Domínico, hay un perro en el pesebre,” which addresses animal welfare, and “Los cuentos del viajante,” based on stories by Oscar Wilde and Hans Christian Andersen.

Performances will take place at the Los Jaguares University Theater and the Esvón Gamaliel Chamber Theater.
