UAG launches reusable rescue bags for water‑damaged electronics
UAG, in partnership with Dryout, has introduced a line of reusable "rescue bags" that use a special moisture‑absorbing material to dry electronic devices such as smartphones, true‑wireless earbuds and laptops. The bags work faster than the traditional rice‑bucket method, drying lightly damp devices in about 2–5 hours and fully submerged ones in 3–12 hours, with speed increasing at higher temperatures. After each use the bags can be re‑activated by sunlight or warm air, allowing multiple cycles.
The product range includes the Phone Rescue Pouch and Wireless Earbud Rescue Pouch, both priced from US$35, as well as larger items like a 16‑inch Laptop Sleeve and a Tech Crossbody Sling. UAG advises users to power off devices, remove cases and surface moisture before placing them in the bag, and to avoid charging until fully dry. The rescue bags are marketed in China and Taiwan.
