UAPB defeats Southern University 41-10 in homecoming football game

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) defeated Southern University 41-10 during Southern's homecoming game at A. W. Mumford Stadium. UAPB's victory was heavily supported by special teams, specifically running back Jalen Williams, who returned three kickoffs for 167 yards, contributing to 17 points for the Jaguars.

Following the loss, Southern University head coach Marshall Faulk expressed dissatisfaction with his team's performance. Faulk stated that the effort was not close to the program's standards, suggesting that some players appeared to have ‘tapped out’ during the game. The defeat marks Southern's second consecutive loss in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), bringing their record to 2-4.
