UAPUAZ and INAH coordinate preparations for 2026 teacher training colloquium
The Academic Preparatory Unit of the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAPUAZ) has begun coordinating with the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) to prepare for the XXVI National Colloquium on Teacher Training. The event is scheduled to take place on October 22 and 23, 2026, in Zacatecas.
Because the university campuses are located within the city's Historic Center, UAPUAZ is working with INAH to supervise and review the preparation of the facilities. This coordination ensures that any improvements to the buildings' presentation, conservation, and functionality respect their architectural and historical value.
Tania Libertad Sánchez Romero, director of the unit, stated that the goal is to provide optimal, safe, and dignified spaces for educators arriving from various regions of the country. The colloquium aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and proposals to strengthen upper secondary education while showcasing the cultural and architectural heritage of Zacatecas.
