UASD San Juan de la Maguana receives Tony Barreiro Games torch

The torch for the 45th edition of the Tony Barreiro University Games arrived at the UASD campus in San Juan de la Maguana. University athletes carried the flame through the streets before it was received by Director Leonor Taveras.

The event honors the legacy of Tony Barreiro, a promoter of university sports. Following the ceremony in San Juan, the torch continued its journey toward the UASD Elías Piña sub-center as part of a national tour across various university extensions.
