Uasin Gishu County advances housing and water projects

The Kapsuswa Affordable Housing Project in Soi Sub‑County, Uasin Gishu County, is 98% complete, delivering 220 units across nine blocks and creating jobs for local workers. The development includes paved roads, a water tower and a 120,000‑litre reservoir, and has been credited with improving security and community services.

In Ziwa Ward, Soy Sub‑County, the county government handed over the Chebarus/Mafuta Water Project, featuring a 24‑cubic‑metre elevated tank, a solar‑powered pump and new communal water points. The project is part of more than 60 water initiatives under Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s Nguzo Kumi agenda, aimed at expanding clean, safe water access across the county.
