UASLP conducts admission exam for over 14,000 applicants

On 3 July 2024 the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) administered its 2026 admission exam to 14,121 candidates out of 15,028 registered. The test was held across its campuses in the metropolitan zone and the municipalities of Salinas, Matehuala, Río Verde, Ciudad Valles and Tamazunchale.

Among the examinees were 23 foreign applicants from the United States, Peru, Colombia and Cuba, 1,165 candidates from other Mexican states and 26 individuals with disabilities. The knowledge exam comprised 160 multiple‑choice items covering Spanish, mathematics, English, physics, biology, chemistry and social sciences and lasted three hours. A subsequent psychometric evaluation of 140 items in six areas was given at 13:00.

University officials, including Rector Alejandro Javier Zermeño Guerra and Secretary General Federico Garza Herrera, inspected the venues. The institution provided free psychological first‑aid services, ten medical consultations and security support. Results are scheduled for publication on 11 July at 20:00 on the official website.
